User Agreement: By accessing or using ComfyDetective ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. Continued use of ComfyDetective constitutes your acceptance of these terms, including any future updates.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ComfyDetective ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ComfyDetective is a workflow analysis tool for ComfyUI. The Service allows users to analyze, compare, and edit workflow JSON files. We do not store or process the actual images generated by workflows. Analysis results are provided for informational purposes only and may not be 100% accurate.

3. User Accounts

You may create an account using third-party authentication (Google, GitHub). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. Accounts are for individual use only — you may not share your account credentials or allow others to access your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Upload workflows containing illegal content or content that violates others' rights
Attempt to circumvent security measures or access restrictions
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Upload malicious code or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities
Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or scrapers to access the Service
Spam, flood, or abuse any feature of the Service
Attempt to bypass usage limits or rate limits
Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the Service

5. Usage Limits

We impose reasonable limits on Service usage (e.g., saved workflows per account, analysis frequency). These limits help ensure fair access for all users. Attempting to circumvent these limits may result in account suspension or termination.

6. Content Policy & Moderation

We employ automated content moderation tools designed to detect and classify potentially harmful or policy-violating content. Our system uses a tiered classification approach:

SAFE: No concerning content detected. Full analysis displayed.
EXPLICIT: Adult content indicators detected. Technical analysis available but prompts are hidden.
SUSPICIOUS: Potentially concerning content detected. Full analysis with warning displayed.
BLOCKED: Policy-violating content detected. Analysis halted, content not displayed.

Prohibited content includes but is not limited to:

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or content sexualizing minors
Content promoting terrorism or violent extremism
Content facilitating human trafficking or exploitation
Non-consensual intimate imagery
Content promoting violence, self-harm, or illegal activity
Hate speech targeting protected characteristics

IMPORTANT: Attempting to circumvent, bypass, or defeat our content moderation systems is a serious violation of these Terms and may constitute a criminal offense under applicable law. This includes but is not limited to: obfuscating prohibited content, encoding illegal material, using character substitution or evasion techniques, or any other technical methods to evade detection.

Automated Analysis Disclaimer: Our content moderation system provides automated analysis and may make mistakes. We do not validate file safety or legality. Classification results are provided for informational purposes only. Users are responsible for verifying the appropriateness of any content they upload or use.

We reserve the right to:

Immediately terminate accounts that violate content policies
Record classification events, and which of our own blocklist terms a submission matched
Preserve and retain records of policy violations, including a hashed form of your IP address
Report suspected illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities
Cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations and legal processes
Provide user information and content pursuant to valid legal requests
Restrict or block access for users with repeated violations

What a moderation record contains. When a submission is classified as anything other than safe, we record the classification, the severity, which of our own blocklist terms matched and how often each has ever matched across all users, category labels from our own fixed set, a reference code, a hashed form of your IP address, your account ID if you are signed in, and the time. If a person on our side reviews the flag, they can attach a free-text note about the decision; that note is written by us, not by you, and is visible only to reviewers. We also run an internal scan that re-applies our current blocklist to workflows already stored, so we can find our own terms that are matching things they should not; each row of that scan is a per-upload moderation record holding one of our terms, how often it occurs in that workflow, and a reference to it. The Privacy Policy, section 6, is the authoritative and complete description of what a moderation record holds; this paragraph is a summary and the Privacy Policy governs if the two differ.

We do not record the prompt text itself, with one exception, which we would rather state here than leave to the Privacy Policy. Your prompt is sent over HTTPS to our moderation function, which runs on our servers — not in your browser — and it is discarded when the check returns. It is not written to our database, to a file, or to a log. The exception is that the function splits the prompt into individual words and counts them, so we can find words our blocklist has never heard of. A word is kept as text only once it has appeared in at least five separate uploads; below that it exists only as a keyed one-way hash and a number. Nothing links those words to you, to an upload, to a session, or to each other, and multi-word phrases are never kept in any form. The Privacy Policy, sections 2 and 9, sets out this carve-out and how long the words are kept.

Where a model or LoRA filename triggers the filter, we record which of our terms the filename matched, not the filename.

Saving is restricted for flagged resources. Filenames of models and LoRAs are stored when you save a workflow, because reloading it requires them. For that reason, a workflow whose model or LoRA filename has been flagged cannot be saved to your account.

YOU REMAIN FULLY LEGALLY LIABLE for any content you upload, regardless of whether our moderation systems detect it or how it is classified. Our content moderation does not constitute legal review or approval of your content. Users who upload illegal content may be subject to civil liability and criminal prosecution under applicable local, state, federal, and international laws.

7. User Responsibility & Content Ownership

ComfyDetective is a neutral tool that processes user-provided content. YOU ARE SOLELY AND ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE for all JSON files, workflows, and any other content you upload, analyze, edit, save, or download through the Service. This includes:

The legality of your content
Ensuring you have the right to use and share your content
Any prompts, settings, or metadata contained within workflows
Any modifications you make using our editing tools
How you use any files downloaded or exported from the Service

ComfyDetective does not create, generate, or originate any workflow content — all content processed by the Service originates from users. We are not responsible for reviewing, verifying, or approving user content. The Service merely provides tools to analyze and modify user-provided files.

What happens to a file you analyze. Your workflow file itself is read in your browser and is never uploaded, and neither is any image — including when a workflow is embedded in a PNG. One thing does leave your device: your positive and negative prompts are transmitted once over HTTPS to our moderation function, which runs on our servers, for the automated check described in section 6. That text is discarded when the check returns and is not retained, subject only to the individual-word carve-out set out in section 6. Editing and exporting otherwise happen entirely in your browser. What we keep is a structural record — node types, how they are connected, generation settings such as sampler and steps, and the filenames of the models, LoRAs, VAEs and ControlNets the workflow refers to. The Privacy Policy sets all of this out in full and governs in the event of any conflict with these Terms.

Saved workflows. If you save a workflow to your account, it is stored with every prompt and free-text field blanked, and it will reload with those fields empty. Saved workflows are private to your account and are never visible to other users.

8. Intellectual Property

Your workflows remain your property. By uploading a workflow you grant us a limited license to process it in order to provide the Service, and to retain the structural record described in section 7. We do not claim ownership of your content. We do not retain your original file, and we do not retain your prompt as you wrote it — subject to the individual-word carve-out described in section 6, under which single words, and never phrases, are counted above a five-upload floor with nothing linking them to you, to an upload, or to each other.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ComfyDetective, its operators, affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

Your use of the Service
Any content you upload, analyze, edit, save, or download
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Any claim that your content caused damage to a third party

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your requirements. Workflow analysis is provided for informational purposes and we make no guarantees about accuracy or completeness.

11. Limitation of Liability

ComfyDetective and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages related to any content you upload, analyze, edit, or download. We bear no responsibility for the nature, legality, or appropriateness of any user-provided content. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (if any).

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for violations of these Terms, suspected abuse or fraud, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Deleting your account. You can delete your account yourself from the account menu in the app; deletion is immediate and cannot be undone, and saved workflows are deleted with the account. If you cannot sign in, ask us through the Contact page and we will delete it within 30 days.

Records that survive deletion. If your account has been restricted or banned, that record is kept after the account is deleted, with your account ID removed. Deleting and re-registering would otherwise clear a ban, which would make enforcement meaningless. Moderation records of policy violations are likewise retained without your account ID, as are any appeals you submitted, which keep the contact address and text you provided. The Privacy Policy explains what each of these holds and for how long.

13. Governing Law

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to them or to the Service, are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States of America, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any such dispute or claim may be brought in the state or federal courts of competent jurisdiction sitting in the State of Wyoming.

If you are a consumer in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. The choice of Wyoming law above does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live, and it does not remove your right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Where those rules apply to you, they apply alongside these Terms and prevail over anything in these Terms that conflicts with them. The same is true anywhere else whose law gives consumers rights that cannot be contracted away. Nothing in section 10 or section 11 limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and for fraud.

The operator of the Service, and the party you are contracting with under these Terms, is EnigmaDesignGroup, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. Where these Terms say “ComfyDetective”, “we” or “its operators”, they mean that entity.

[NOTE FOR LEGAL REVIEW — not part of the agreement, and not shown in the signup agreement modal. This section is a plain choice of law plus courts of competent jurisdiction, and nothing more. It deliberately contains NO arbitration clause, NO class-action waiver and NO prevailing-party fee-shifting. Those are substantive decisions the owner has not made, and each carries real consequences; a lawyer should decide whether to add any of them. A lawyer should also decide whether to add a severability clause, so that if one provision is held unenforceable the remainder survives — there is currently none, which matters more once a choice-of-law clause exists. Finally, confirm whether the Service is "directed to" EEA/UK consumers within the meaning of Rome I Art. 6, since that is what makes the consumer carve-out above operative.]

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Every version carries a version number, shown at the top of this page, and we record which version you accepted and when.

How you are told about a material change. When we make one, we publish the new version here with a new version number. If you have an account, the next time you open the Service you are shown the updated Terms and asked to accept them before continuing — you are told they have changed, rather than being asked again with no explanation. Your acceptance is recorded against the new version number.

If you do not have an account, continued use after a change constitutes acceptance, so please check this page from time to time.
